Membership of the VCACD
Local voluntary and community organisations can join the VCACD as members, giving them a collective voice and an ideal mechanism for working together.
Our Management Committee is elected from the membership and so the local voluntary sector has a strong influence on how the VCACD operates and the services it provides.
How to Join
We like a wide range of organisations to benefit from VCACD membership, not just larger charities, but also the many smaller community groups that offer such valuable services in their local areas and villages.
To this end, we don't charge a membership fee but do ask that organisations meet a basic set of standards which are set out below. If you have questions about any of these standards, we'll be happy to help.
Members are asked to have:-
-
A clearly defined purpose
-
A decision-making mechanism (e.g. a committee)
-
A set of rules or a constitution
-
To keep financial records and have a bank account
-
To have, or be working towards, a commitment to equal opportunities.
However we can support you in establishing policies and procedures for your organisation.
