Support and Services

We aim to support and strengthen local voluntary and community groups by providing practical services, information and resources.

Services

At our offices in North Street, Chichester, local groups can use the following facilities at very reasonable cost:

PC with colour printer - Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Database and Desk Top Publishing (for example, create colour posters and leaflets, produce mailing labels, type up your annual accounts)
Colour photocopier with double-sided copying plus enlargement/reduction facility
Laminator - a quality, waterproof finish for posters
Scanner - import your own pictures and photos into documents
Projector loan - borrow a projector and laptop for your presentations

Information and Advice

We maintain a database of local organisations who receive regular mailings. These include information on:

* Local, regional and national news relevant to the voluntary sector
* Events such as training, conferences and public meetings
* Funding availability
* Local developments and voluntary group activities

Please let us know if you would like to be included on the database or complete our membership form.

We can provide support and advice on a number of subjects including:

Starting up a new voluntary or community group

Designing and writing a Constitution

Making applications for funding

Registering as a charity

Other Resources

We are always adding to a ‘library’ of reference material which is available for organisations to use at our offices. It includes:

Charity Commission Advice Leaflets

Books and publications advising on charity management and good practice such as Trustee Responsibilities, Health & Safety and Employment Matters.

Information from major funders

Reference material from government department, e.g. Social Services Inspectorate and Department of Health, on recent guidelines and legislation
